How Pub Olympics works
Your guests form teams and compete in each event under an umpire’s adjudication. Participants from each team vie with rivals from the others — giving the occasion a fun competitive edge.
Pub Olympics works well with small corporate groups and can be scaled up for larger groups too. It’s ideal as an away-day, an accompaniment to a barbecue or an evening’s entertainment.
Typically, Pub Olympics takes two hours — from briefing to prize-giving — but we can fit it into a one-hour format too.
We can supply just about any pub game imaginable. Some favourites include:
Darts: Darts is a classic pub game that requires precision and accuracy. Players take turns throwing darts at a target, trying to score points by hitting specific areas on the board. It’s a game that requires focus and a steady hand.
Table Tennis: Wow your friends with deft touch, slight of hand and powerful spin as you ping pong the night away. An intense match-up or a casual knock about – you can choose!
Beer Pong: Beer Pong is a more modern addition to the Pub Olympics. It is a team-based game where players throw ping-pong balls across a table with the aim of landing them in cups filled with beer. It combines skill and a little bit of luck, making it a hit at parties and gatherings.
Trivia: Trivia games are perfect for testing general knowledge and quick thinking. Participants answer questions on a wide range of subjects to win prizes.
Table Tennis: Wow your friends with deft touch, slight of hand and powerful spin as you ping pong the night away. An intense match-up or a casual knock about – you can choose!
Table Football: The classic table-top soccer game to play one on one or team up with your colleagues in goals, defence, midfield and attack!
Depending on the package you choose, the price can vary for our Pub Olympics events. Get in touch with us to find out more.

Sarah and her team at Maximillion are professional in every way. The quality of events we have run over the last 3 years has been of the highest quality across a mixture of online and larger face-to-face events. You not only get a ‘can do’ attitude but also adaptability as circumstances change and ideas that improve what you are offering your delegates.

Everything from start to finish was amazing and Jenny kept in constant contact – couldn’t fault Jenny or the company whatsoever. Organisation/Communication was 100% perfect.

We thought the event was organised and ran extremely well. All of our staff had a fantastic time, great fun! Would recommend Maximillion.
Meraki Talent
Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. This is the second time using Maximillion and on both occasions they have made the event! So much fun and so engaging. The feedback from all who attended was this was a brilliant session. Huge thanks to all involved.

Just a note to say thanks for all your help with the Yamaha event last week. It went very well, and the client was very happy. I know she was a bit worried just because of experiences at other venues around the world where things have not gone according to plan. So for us to arrive and see it all set and ready to roll, put her mind at rest.

Thank you to Mike, Ross and Sandy from Maximillion for the team building in the afternoon, murder mystery that evening, Belbin Team Roles next morning, a fantastic team building session in the afternoon and, finally, a great barbecue that evening provided by Norton House. Although some of us were a bit slow of the mark the second day, the same positive attitude and enthusiasm from day one prevailed and I think we all got something out of it. It was clear to me that everyone was communicating and working together better by the end of the afternoon.

With restrictions in place that curtailed our previous plans for the company’s 50th anniversary we were delighted to find a great alternative and a team well-equipped to deliver an event for such a significant milestone. The Maximillion team worked closely with us, making suggestions and sharing ideas to help make our virtual away day celebrations a real occasion. The feedback from the events was really positive and it was great to have a chance to get together in such a fun environment when all the teams have been working so hard over the past months.

I just wanted to say thank you so much to you and your team for organising a truly memorable Christmas party for the JAA clan. We had a fabulous time and the activities and events you suggested really hit the spot in terms of being accessible, entertaining and fun. I would highly recommend you all for any corporate event in Scotland!

Like many other professional service providers, we are often metaphorically ‘spinning plates’ and ‘juggling’ competing priorities, so it was great for our team to try these challenges in real life. We discovered hidden talents and it reinforced that working as a team and providing a supportive learning environment are key to delivering an excellent result. Thank you to Maximillion for your support and encouragement during this fun event, as well as for your professionalism in pulling together a slick activity for 220 people.
